✨ Fabriq is Hiring: Engineering Manager, Enterprise BU ✨

Fabriq is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise Business Unit (BU). This team is instrumental in making Fabriq highly scalable and effective for our largest industrial clients, including Plant Managers, OpEx Directors, and COOs of multi-site organizations.

The Enterprise BU's core mission is to empower manufacturing organizations to deploy Fabriq at scale, enabling them to standardize and elevate their operational excellence practices across all their locations.

As the Engineering Manager, you will own the engineering facet of the BU. You will lead a team of 4 senior product engineers (currently David, Fabrice, and Yoan, with 2 additional hires you will be responsible for). You will partner closely with a strong Product Manager and drive a roadmap focused on critical scaling challenges. These include:

• Multi-tenancy
• Performance at scale
• Dashboards for aggregated data
• Data migrations
• Governance
• On-premise deployments

You will be stepping into a role currently held by Bertrand, our VP of Engineering, who has been managing these responsibilities alongside his other duties. The expectation is that within six months, you will fully assume these EM duties, allowing Bertrand to transition away from them.

This is a Product Engineering role. There is no dedicated product designer within the BU. You will collaborate closely with Margaux to design solutions. The engineers you will manage are senior and autonomous; your role is to elevate their capabilities and unlock greater scale.

Expect a 50/50 split in your responsibilities:

50% Management:

• 1:1 meetings
• Career development and performance management
• Hiring (you will lead the recruitment of 2 new engineers)
• Delivery rituals and monthly cycles
• Capacity planning
• Weekly syncs with other Engineering Managers

50% Technical:

• Code reviews
• Architecture reviews
• Documentation reviews
• Providing technical backup for complex challenges

While you won't be coding daily, you will be capable of diving deep into technical issues when necessary.

Tech Stack You'll Support:

Back-end:

• Historically REST API with Django.
• New development in Deno (TypeScript).
• Database: AWS Aurora (Postgres).
• Drizzle as a lightweight ORM on Deno.
• Monitoring: Honeycomb + Sentry for understanding performance at scale.

Front-end:

• Vue.js single-page application, with ongoing migration to TypeScript.
• Mobile app developed in Vue.js + Capacitor.
• Continuous deployment via Cloudflare Pages, with preview URLs for every Pull Request.

Infrastructure:

• Containers on AWS (currently ECS / Fargate, with a future move to EKS).
• Infrastructure managed entirely via CDKTF in TypeScript.
• A small number of customers operate on dedicated infrastructure.

Coding Style:

• TypeScript, inspired by data-oriented programming principles.
